Our Journey

Aaron's passion for gaming sparked his journey in 2006 at the age of 16 when he began contributing to open-source projects in the MMO private server community. His focus quickly shifted to web development, creating simple one-page sites for these private servers. He integrated authentication systems that connected directly to the game's database, allowing players to log in using their in-game accounts. Expanding on this, he and a few long-term friends—one of whom, John, is now part of the Nation of NodeGeeks—developed features like in-game item purchases and subscription plans for virtual currency.

At 19, Aaron founded his first company, TeknoloGenie, where he developed five applications using PHP (web), Objective-C (iOS), and Java (Android). However, he soon realized the inefficiency of managing multiple languages for cross-platform development. In 2011, with the release of Node.js becoming stable, he pivoted to full-stack JavaScript development—leading to the birth of NodeGeeks.

Since then, Aaron has remained an active open-source contributor, a dedicated problem solver, and, above all, a loving father of seven. His passion for development continues to drive him as he builds solutions that simplify and enhance the digital world.
